The Briar Woods Crew Club was started in 2010 by a group of dedicated seniors at Briar Woods High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. 2014 will mark the club's fourth season and the staff, students and volunteers are working hard to continue the momentum and progress of previous seasons. Their commitment to the sport of competitive rowing is built on a foundation of passion, compassion, hard work and more than a few early mornings. Join us in our efforts by donating time or money in support of a sport with no names on the jerseys and no glory for the individual. It's all about the boat.
Important Crew Update: On 9/8/14, the Loudoun County Water Authority decided to CLOSE Beaverdam Reservoir to all public activities INCLUDING High School Rowing. The decision was made to expedite the drainage and repairs to the lake. This subsequently cancelled the Loudoun County Rowing Association (LCRA) Fall Crew program that was to start 9/15. Registration refunds are being processed. The BWC Boosters are investigating options for crew conditioning programs for the Fall and Winiter. The Boosters are also actively engaged in planning for the Spring rowing season. Check back soon for more information regarding the date and time for an upcoming parents meeting.
